The Canary Islands are the only place in Europe that is blessed with mild all-year-round weather and 340 sunny days a year. That makes Tenerife the perfect spot for your training camp.

Get ready for an amazing week, preparing yourself for new challenges. Our training camp focuses on guided rides on some of the best cycling routes in the world. We include coached technical swim sessions and runs.

You will leave the island with a new sense of confidence in your racing and training potential.

  • 7 nights’ accommodation in a 3-star sports hotel

Training

  • Fully coached training sessions by Marko Rajh
    • 4 group rides  (outside of that, you're welcome to ride as much as you wish)
    • 3 technical swimming sessions to improve your technique 
    • 3 running sessions
  • Sports nutrition and hydration
  • Full access to the high-performance Tenerife Top Training Sports Centre
    • Swimming in a free, open lane
    • Kickboard, pull boy, hand paddles, training fins
    • Use of the flume with technical recording and evaluation (1 session per stay)

    • Relaxing area featuring a Turkish steam bath, Scottish shower, ice bath, whirlpool, and sauna.
    • Possibility of water refill without limit. You are invited to bring your refillable bottle

Hovima Jardín La Caleta ***
In comfort 1-bedroom apartments in this beautiful 3-star sports hotel,  which is located in the 1st line on the Atlantic Ocean, as you enter the charming fishing village of La Caleta. A spectacular location in which athletes will find all the finest services and facilities for relaxation. The hotel offers special nutrition, adapted to the athlete’s needs. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a kettle, a toaster, a fridge, a TV with international channels, and free Wifi connection. There is also a safe for a fee. Moreover, the high-performance sports centre - Tenerife Top Training - is 12 minutes walking distance. 

    

Schedule

Day 1

FRIDAY - Arrival in Tenerife

After arriving at the hotel, we will have a welcome evening for a social gathering to meet the group members and introduce the plan for the week.

Day 2

SATURDAY - SWIM AND BIKE  

We will start at Tenerife Top Training (T3), where you will have a site tour to show you all the facilities, and you will have a technical swimming session, followed by a beautiful 2 hours and 30 minutes ride on the west coast to Playa San Juan and Guía de Isora with a total elevation of 916m.

SUNDAY - BIKE and RUN

We will make a 3 - 3,5 hours ride through Granadilla and Villaflor, which is 65km with a total of 1488m elevation gain, followed by a track interval running session including running drills. You can finish the day with a revitalizing cold therapy at the spa area.

Day 4

MONDAY- SWIM TECHNIQUE

Technical swimming session with recovery focus: body position, rotation, catch, and sculling. In the afternoon, you can have a free ride, or you can go to the gym, before making your way to the Spa.

Day 5

TUESDAY - CONCONI TEST and BIKE

Today, we make a Conconi test on the track to estimate HR deflection and pacing zones. Followed by a 2-2,5 hours ride on the west coast of the island with a 1014m, total elevation gain.

Day 6

WEDNESDAY - SWIM STRENGTH & RUN

Swimming session with paddles and a pull buoy, stepped intervals focus on upper body strength, followed by a flume technical evaluation, and running.

Day 7

THURSDAY - BIG DAY - CLIMBING TEIDE

We reached the most exciting day of our camp, which involved climbing the highest mountain in Spain. It’s a 110 km ride through Granadilla to Boca Tauce, and down to Chio before returning to the starting point. The total elevation gain is 2674m, and the estimated time on the saddle is 6 hours.

THURSDAY EVENING - AWARD CEREMONY

The evening continues after dinner with a fun social gathering and a celebration of your achievements at the award ceremony.
